FAMILY SCHOOL The Family SchoolWe are excited to announce The Family School for LDS homeschoolers who desire the LDS-oriented “Principle Approach” that American Heritage School has incorporated for 42 years. The Family School – Year 1 is the first in a six-part series designed in collaboration with hundreds of LDS homeschooling parents. Year 1 represents a combined effort from LDS homeschool and American Heritage authors, designers, and directors who collectively dedicated over 7000 hours to bring The Family School out of the physical school.  A tremendous labor of love indeed!

The curriculum is designed for parents of children ages 4 to 12, and includes an entire year of print or digital curriculum for a family to teach history, literature, science, geography, art, and music. Family School courses are parent-guided and reminiscent of a one-room school house approach with children of various ages learning together, followed by several adaptable age-appropriate assignments and activities all in harmony with principles of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Family School – Year 1 curriculum will be available in quarters during the first year. As a new product, we will send out each quarter separately allowing opportunity for feedback and revisions to subsequent quarters to improve the curriculum several times even throughout the first year.
